A pass line bet requires you to place chips on the “Pass Line” section of the table. If the shooter’s come out roll is a 7 or 11, you win even money (1:1). However, if the come out roll is 2,3 or 12 (craps) you lose. If any other number is rolled (4,5,6,8,9 or 10) it’s called the point. Craps Payout Chart and Odds For Each Craps Bet. The craps payout chart below shows various payout statistics such as what kind of craps bets, true odds, payout odds and the total house edge after everything has been calculated through. Note that these payout odds in the chart listed below are not the same in every casino or on all craps tables.

In my ten commandments of gambling I advise that you avoid gimmicks and this isan illustrated example. The Stratosphere Casino in Vegas and some casinos in Mississippiproudly boast of “crapless craps,” a craps variant in which the player can not losea pass bet on the come out roll. If any number other than a 7 is rolled on the comeout roll it becomes the point. What you are giving up is the sure winner of 11 onthe come out roll. To the mathematically challenged it may seem a good deal, thatyou are only giving up 1 sure winner for 3 sure losers. The catch is that the probabilityof hitting a point of 2 or 12 is only 1/7, and the probability of hitting a pointof 3 or 11 is only 1/4. So the player is not gaining much on the 2, 3, and 12 sincethey will likely lose anyway, but is giving up a sure winner on 11 for only a 1/4chance of winning. Overall the house edge on the pass bet in crapless craps is 373/6930=~ 5.382%, compared to 1.41% in a real craps game.
Crapless craps does offer free odds of 6:1 on the 2 and 12, and 3:1 on the 3 and11. The following table shows the combined house edge by combining the pass lineand the odds:Combined house edge onpass and buying oddsin crapless craps1X odds2.936%2X odds2.018%3X odds1.538%5X odds1.042%
You can also make place bets on the 2, 3, 11, and 12. The 2 and 12 pay 11:2 witha house edge of 7.143%. The 3 and 11 pay 11:4 with a house edge of 6.250%. Thereis no don’t pass bet in this game.Crapless Craps Story from The Bone Man
One night while standing on a dead craps table, graveyard shift at the Stratosphere,Las Vegas, a customer came up and asked us if we could move over and open the CraplessCraps table.
The boxman and night shift manager said sure, no problem, so the crew closed downthe regulation table and opened up Crapless Craps.
The player bought in for $500 and pretty soon at about 4:30 am other players startedjoining in on the action.
The Player began his wagering by making $25 Pass Line and Come Bets and startedoff conservative. His streak began early and pretty soon he started pressing byplacing maximum odds on his Pass Line and on all Come Bets. Pretty soon, with thehelp of some hot rolls, he had filled all the numbers – 2,3,4,5,6,8,9,10,11 and12 taking maximum odds.
By 7:30am or so he cashed out for $30,000.
As I was ready to take my scheduled 20-minute break at 7:40am I heard the boxmansay to the night shift manager, “Gee, maybe we shouldn’t have opened up CraplessCraps for that guy.”
Well… Duh.
I would have liked to have seen the look on the player’s face though, when he triedto cash in his chips and the cage asked him to fill out the tax form!Point of Trivia
On a regular craps table when you refer to “Outside Numbers” you are referencingthe 5,9,4 and 10. But on a Crapsless Craps table, because the 3,11,2 and 12 arealso “Point Numbers” and boxes for these numbers are on the layout… the 3,11,2and 12 are called “The Extreme Outside”. But the chances are that if you ever calla combination bet to “Place the Extreme Outside” the dealer probably won’t evenknow what you are talking about.Types of Craps BetsLine Bets:Single Roll Bets:Multi Roll Bets:Related Articles:Blackjack Pointing Labs
The fire bet is a somewhat uncommon craps bet. Usually this is a special craps side-bet that players can make over a multi roll period. The payouts are enormous and not all casinos will allow this kind of bet since this one is kind of advanced and is usually used by professionals and experienced players. I will try to explain how the fire bet works and what some of the payouts are.Cached
The goal is to have the shooter go on a hot streak. Players may wager a single chip when the casino allows this bet to be placed. First, a shooter must consecutively roll a number of different points. After each point has been rolled, the dealer will put a ’fire’ marker on that number. Remember, there are only 6 possible point numbers available: 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10. If three of these numbers became established as point numbers and the dealer rolled and completed those points, there would be three markers on each number. Players still would not win yet.
Once the fourth point has been made, the player will win 24:1 odds. If the fifth point is made, then the payout increases to 249:1 and finally when the last and sixth point number has been made by the shooter, the player will win the entire fire bet and a 999:1 payout. That means $1000 on a single $1 bet. If you wagered $100, you could actually win $100,000!Craps Point Established
A few things to note: The shooter must clear the point on each of all six individual numbers. If the shooter kept establishing and making the point on the number 4, even for 10 times in a row, that will only count as one point number. Also, if the shooter rolls a 7, everyone loses the fire bets, the fire markers get replaced and the game starts over again. This is a very exciting side-wager to watch but the odds are slim, though the payouts are generous.See Full List On Crapspit.orgClick on the image above to instantly practice and play free craps in your browser.
